We began the tree trimming with our family tradition of putting on Brenda Lee's "jingle bell rock" and drinking egg nog. We danced and sipped and began to put ornaments on the tree. Ava was loving all of it! It was hard for her to figure out how to hang each ornament on a branch. She thought it should work just fine if she layed them on the branch or just shoved them into the branches :) As soon as we got an ornament on she also enjoyed the process of pulling it off the branch. Nana had lots of pine needles on the rug after our tree trimming ;)
It wasn't long before Ava found Mama's glass of Egg Nog. She thought it was delicious! "nummy tummy" (yummy in my tummy), she said and she sipped it until the very last drop!
Every last drop...

Here is Ava successfully putting an ornament on the tree!

Nana and Mina reaching for the top!

Auntie Mina dancing with Ava!

Boomer being such a good boy. Ava is quite frightened of Boomer when he first arrives to visit, but with patience and time they always become friends. Boomer is really gentle with Ava. By the end of the night she was feeding him treats all by herself! (that's a long way from tears and screeches and "mama uppa!" in the beginning of the evening).

Here is the tree, all decorated, with our little monk (all pooped out) sitting underneath it.
