Brad and I put Ava down for a nap to sleep off that sugar high and went for a walk together through Ruby Hill. It was so beautiful! Overcast skies make for the most beautiful photos, so I was in picture taking mode, as usual, and noticing everything. Brad commented in a joking way "I thought we were supposed to be getting a little exercise, Cass" because I would stop every few minutes to capture the beauty we were walking by. I don't know why I've never noticed spring so much before. On the way up to Pleasanton I was oooing and ahhing over the wildflowers along the freeway, wishing we could stop and plunk Ava down among the tall yellow flowers and have a little photo shoot. (how unsafe would that be?!) :)
Anyway, back to the walk. It was really nice to be alone with Brad and talk as we walked. I really appreciate the friendship we have.
