3 year well check visit

Going to visit the doctor's office has been less than fun up to this point. Always tears. Always clung to Mommy and asking, with puppy dog eyes, when we are leaving.

Ava had a lot of apprehension for this visit too. I knew there would be no shots, so that was a plus, but she was still wary.
But that didn't stop her from bringing her whole self to the appointment.
"can I wear my princess dress and shoes, mama?" Of course.
"can I bring Claudia something to eat from the kitchen?" Of course.

We brought Claudia play food on plates, our Dr.'s kit and a princess.
She asked us if we'd left any toys at home :)!

It was so sweet to watch Ava step in a scale, like an adult and sit in the chair to have her blood pressure taken. I just couldn't believe how big she is.

While we waited we played Dr. as we always do at the Dr.
You can see the worry. Sweet thing.

This is the face she made when she thought she heard Claudia coming.
Let me just take a moment here to say what a wonderful Dr. Claudia is. She has comforted my every concern and normalized it. She tells Ava she loves her and hugs her and kisses her before we leave.
She really goes above and beyond with her patients.
We are so lucky to have her.

Yet, Ava is still terrified. :)

Claudia took her time. She got excited to see Ava's Dr. kit and let Ava have a turn checking Claudia after Claudia checked Ava.
Ava listened to every one's heart with the real stethoscope!

Claudia asked to see Ava jump and run. She asked if she could draw a circle and ride a bike, to which Ava answered "yes" to all of those things.

Below is a smiley face that she drew recently. She came running into our room to show us!
Pretty good stuff! What a big girl we have now! :)

All is well with Ava.
She's 42% in weight at 30lbs.
She's 15% in height at 2' 11.75" (shorty)
Oh! And that big head is ALL brains :)!
Healthy as a horse!
